AfH,  Groundwork London and London Community Resource Network are developing community reuse enterprises on five different housing estates in London. Redundant spaces are being transformed into reuse hubs for the collection, refurbishment and redistribution of items, equipping local people with the skills and resources to reuse more, reduce fly-tipping and improve the local environment. These community reuse hubs are called The Loops.

The Loops will offer accredited training, employment and volunteering opportunities for residents. AfH was invited to design the hubs and develop the branding.

The five Loop hubs are located at:

The Loop @ Pembury  in Hackney in partnership with Peabody

The Loop @ Grahame Park  in Barnet with Genesis Housing and Barnet Housing

The Loop @ White City  with The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham

The Loop @ Samuel Lewis Trust  in Lambeth in partnership with Southern Housing Group

The Loop @ Andover  in Islington in partnership with The London Borough of Islington

Repurpose is funded by European Commission’s LIFE + Programme and co-financed by Groundwork London, London Community Resource Network, Middlesex University, Peabody, Genesis Housing, Southern Housing Group, LB Islington and LB Hammersmith and Fulham.
